Get Involved
Granby Ranch Volunteer Ski Patrol is always looking for advanced to expert alpine and telemark skiers, and riders who want to be a part of an organization dedicated to helping fellow mountain enthusiasts while enjoying America's favorite winter sport. The Patrol provides training in NSP Outdoor Emergency Care and alpine toboggan training. Granby Ranch's volunteer patrollers are men and women aged 18 to 70+, married and single, all with an appreciation for each other and a love of skiing. The Patrol also sponsors a Young Adult Patroller program for youth ages 15 to 18.
Qualifications

Advanced to expert alpine or telemark skiing or riding ability (able to run a toboggan on all of Granby Ranch's slopes)

Ability to commit a designated number of weekend duty days to the Patrol

Successfully complete NSP Outdoor Emergency Care and alpine toboggan training and testing

Annual NSP Outdoor Emergency Care, CPR, lift evacuation and local protocol refresher

Purchase of an NSP jacket and vest

Pay annual dues

One of our directors will contact you to answer any further questions that you may have. Additionally, feel free to stop by the Granby Ranch Aid Room on weekends during the ski season to discuss becoming a member of the Granby Ranch Volunteer Ski Patrol. Skiing/riding tryouts are held several times during the year.
